French Fooid Friday - French-style Deviled Eggs (Oeufs Mimosa)

 


Yesterday was one of those days where nothing went as planned.  A journey that should have taken just 1 hour, took over two hours thanks to freezing fog.

We successfully navigated to the shop we wanted to visit but had to cut our visit short as we were starving.

GPS then sent on a wild goose chase when trying to locate a chosen restaurant and when we arrived, it became apparent that the online reviews and photos  beared no resemblence to the restaurant at all.


As the French like to say it was an "arnaque" but fortunately for us, the restaurant next door looked okay so we ate there.

There was not a lot of choice so I picked Oeufs Mimosa which I have never eaten before.

It proved to be a great choice and French Boyfriend wished he had ordered the same as he chose a soup which was very spicy. 

Next was poulet roti accompanied by some of the best frites we have ever had in France. I rarely eat fried food but I was starving and convinced myself that eated chips once a year is not going tyo kill me or at least I hope not. 

The chicken was organic and tasted divine, even French Boyfriend agreed that it would make our top 10 list.
