Stepping into a fairytale

 

Looking at this photo of a village we visited on Sunday, reminds me of just how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world.

The photo was taken in Limeuil which is classed as one of the most beautiful in France.

It is like stepping into something out of a fairytale ♥

The village sits high on a steep hill above the river which adds to it's charm. Unlike a lot of the villages in the Dordogne, there is no risk of flooding and I suspect this was a factor taken into account when the village was created in the 14th century.

Now it is back to reality I must go as I have breakfast to prepare for our hungry guests before they head out to explore the Dordogne and all of it's magical sights and delights.
