A man and a woman

 

"Un Homme et une Femme"  is a film that I have wanting to watch for a long time.

It is a French classic, made in 1966 by the fabulous Claude Lelouch who is one of France's best film directors.

We finally got around to watching the film on Sunday night and we both enjoyed it.

French Boyfriend had already seen it but as this was many years ago, he was happy to watch it again.

The cinematography is amazing and it was a film that was before it's time.  The original film was in French but you also have the option to watch it in English.

There is a second film called A Man and a Woman, 20 years later which we are planning on watching this weekend.

This year Claude Lelouch remade a scene from the film for Chanel, starring Penélope Cruz and Brad Pitt.

It was this advert together with our recent trip to Deauville that reminded me to buy the DVD.
