The No. 1 Dish in France

 

It does not come as much as a surprise to hear that "poulet frites" is the No. 1 dish in France.

Why go to the bother of cooking a chicken when you can buy a rotisserie chicken? 

We enjoy ours served with oven roasted potatoes which are baked with herbes de Provence.

Apparently rotisserie chicken is a fast growing business in France and you do not have to go far to find your rotisserie chicken.

You can find them in food markets, supermarkets, butcher shops and there are even mobile sellers that you will see parked on main roads and in small villages around france.

There is even a Michelin starred chef selling them in his restaurant for around 10 times the price of a normal organic rotisserie chicken.

All this talk of chicken is making me hungry, three guesses what we will be having for lunch today...
