Bon week-end ♥♥
There is nothing like a day out in the Dordogne and thankfully there are a lot of places to visit.
Last week we visited the gardens in Marqueyssac which is of the most beautiful romantic gardens of France and the most visited garden in the Perigord region.
Listed as a national historical monument thanks to its 54 acres park, Marqueyssac's gardens offer more than 6 kilometres of shaded paths in a maze of 150 000 hand-pruned boxwoods.
From the belvedere, at 130 meters above the Dordogne river, you will see the most spectacular panorama in Perigord.
This is the testimony of a rich bygone history and a gorgeous natural heritage.
It's also an exceptionnal Dordogne valley point of view, you will see its most beautiful villages : Domme, Castelnaud, Beynac, Fayrac and La Roque-Gageac.
It is open all year round and Winter is a great time to visit as it is less crowded and you can take your time to admire this stunning garden which was created in the 1800's.
We took photos of the interior of the chateau which I plan on sharing with you next week.
Bon week-end a tous ♥♥
