The suitcases have been emptied and the washing is almost finished.

I have started adding some of our Normandy tresors to our online boutique and I am hoping to continue adding some more today.

One of my first finds was this stylish vintage French warship sailor beret dating from the 1970s. It was once war worn by a member of the French National Navy.

It has been manufactured from navy blue wool and features a removable white cotton linen blend cap cover with a traditional French red pompom.

There is a belief in France that if one were to touch the red pompon, it would bring you good luck.

The beret has been decorated with a woven ribbon band with the French name "Marine Nationale" (National Navy). The internal hat band is of black leather.
It is marked inside with the size 59.

Perfect for an nautical inspired decor and it would also make a lovely and unusual gift.
