1 034 hours later
1034 hours later, the dress was finished and Cinderella was ready for the ball.
The dress was made by Chanel for the actress Kristen Stewart who portrays Lady Di in the film Spencer.
It is based on a design from the Chanel Haute Couture 1988 Spring-Summer collection, which the princess has never actually worn.
Chosen by the director for the film, this dress was recreated by the Chanel workshops who worked 1034 hours (including 700 hours on the embroidery) to make this organza piece enhanced with gold and silver sequins.
A satin bow encircles the dress at the front while the skirt is fitted at the hip before unfolding to its full length, with thousands of ruffles and gathers. Details that recall the wardrobe the Princess of Wales loved to wear during her royal “romance”, before she entered the divorce years.
You can watch the trailer for the film here.
Belle semaine a tous♥♥
