Let them (us) eat cake

We popped to a nearby village this morning, which is famous for having one of the best patisseries in the area. The patisserie has been closed for a couple of weeks as the owners have been having a well earned break.

It was almost closing time when we arrived but I was happy to see these two lovely mille feuilles waiting for us. 

In a box they went amd out the door went a very happy customer.

As you and I both know, the devil is in the detail and the pretty box makes them that extra bit special.

A lovely and very yummy treat, perfect with a cup of tea on a rainy afternoon in SW France.
