Church bells ring out in a sign of unity

Last night all Churches in France rung their bells for 10 minutes  to show support and solidarity during the Covid-19 epidemic and to celebrate Annunciation day.

People were also invited to burn a candle at a window in their homes while the bells rang.

All faiths were invited to participate in this gesture as a mark of communion of thought and prayer with the deceased, the sick and their loved ones, with all the caregivers and all those who make life in our country possible.

We will get through this together.
