Animals are taking their planet back

Last night there was a report on the French news stating that as a result of covid-19 and the lock down, animals are returning to city centers. We saw wild boar roaming the streets of Barcelona and a mother duck taking her ducklings for a walk along a normally busy road in Paris.

The Paris scene made me smile as they being followed by a police car to make sure they made it safely back to the river seine.

We have a similar story here in our little village, where we saw the Swans, who normally stay close to the river, taking time out in some-one's garden.

We are a little envious as we are locked up and the animals have the freedom to roam the planet. Liberty is something that we are all guilty of tasking for granted and we have now learnt the lesson that it is something precious and it can be taken away from us at any time.
