Friday flowers
Bonjour mes belles,
Apologies for the lack of posts but I have a few projects on the go this week and everything appears to be all happening at the same time.
This week our village is hosting a flower and bee festival so fingers crossed for lots of lovely sunshine. The above photo is from the same festival in 2011 and I am hoping that the same seller returns this year as I would love to buy some more of his lovely peonies.
très bon week-end à tous, Leeann
Thanks for sharing those beautiful flowers. ..bringing joy to my life I'm more positive now in rainy lyon from www.jadorelyon.com
ReplyDeletePeonies are the one flower that I grow with ease in France but manage to kill with a side ways glance in Australia. A bee and peony festival sounds like my type of celebration. Bees are critical for the survival of out planet, but their numbers are dangerously low due to the red mite and toxic farming practices. I used to keep bees when younger. Robbing their hives was always a tricky business and eventually landed me in hospital. However, I'm now contemplating getting a new type of hive - designed in Australia - that can be made to automatically release the honey. Bon week-end. Elizabeth
