bonjour septembre...



I took this photo the 1st of  September last year, whilst we were taking a break in the lovely Auvergne area.

For me it sums up September, the summer holidays are over and the whole of France goes back to work.

For us it is the opposite, the summer tourist rush is over and things move at a gentler, more enjoyable pace.

It is one of my favourite months to be in France and I am planning on enjoying every minute of it....

    This is when all our australian friends start arriving. At least it is cooler for all that sightseeing and the crowds are gone ( we hope). Love the autumn weather best of all.

      I do too Kerrie, the colours are amazing and it is if someone waves a magic wand and everything moves at a gentler pace.

      I am enjoying being back in the kitchen again, when it was late 30's I could not be bothered but spent most of the day today baking and I am enjoying it as are our guests.
