recipe and photo from here

Bonjour mes belles,

Here is the first recipe for August. I found this one on one of my favourite French websites under the category amuse-bouche which literally translate to amuse mouth.

In English we refer to such food as canapés and normally serve with drinks. Canapé in French refers to a couch hence offering a guest a canapé with a drink may get an interesting look in return.

The recipe appears in French and then below in English for those of you who want to try in French first......

Ingrédients

  • 4  tranches de jambon cuit
  • 1 boîte de fromage frais de chèvre
  • 2 gousses d'ail
  • 300g de roquette
  • 4 cuillerées à soupe de vinaigrette
  • 1 petit poivron rouge
  • 1 petit poivron jaune
  • sel, poivre
  • ciboulette

Recette

Servir bien frais.

In a bowl, put the goat cheese, add the garlic, chives, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Place the slices of ham on a chopping board, cut into three or four pieces depending on the size of the slices. Spread the cheese mix on the pieces of ham. Carefully roll and tie with the chives.
