And then there were two ♥

Rosie finally got a friend, "Romeo" has been with us for just over a week and he has settled in well.

This said, I am not sure that Rosie thinks of him as a partner. She appears to be treating him like a body guard.

He is not allowed to eat unless she says it is time to eat and he must descend before her. Once she arrives, she then says it is ok for him to eat with her. At first he did not understand this protocol but as a result of a lot of pushing and bickering he now respects the rules in place.

Like most Rosy Bourkes, she likes to nap during the day and whilst she sleeps, Romeo rests near to her but on a slightly lower perch making sure no one disturbs her from her beauty sleep.

She likes to sing and Romeo chirps in appreciation.

To say they are amusing is an understatement and there is never a dull moment.

A fes nights ago Romeo decided not to obey the rules in place and despite being told to descend for dinner, he stayed on his perch.

Reluctantly she descends and chirps for him to join her.

At first he does not react so she commences eating and continues calling him between mouthfulls of food.

Panic sets in so he decides to take the shortest route to join her which results in him taking a wild leap and landing directly in the food bowl, giving her the shock of her life.  She then chased him, making a lot of noise and pecking him at every chance she got.

I have never laughed so much in my life as it was quite a sight to see and no doubt Romeo will now make sure it is clear for him to land before taking the direct route to their dining room.

Now it is time for me to leave as they are waiting for housekeeping service.

Belle journee a tous ♥
