Trompe-l'œil / trick the eye

I love a Trompe-l'œil, the technique of tricking the eye by making a flat piece look 3 dimensional.

This is a great example where the owners have painted some false window and shutters complete with people looking out of the window. 

Such a fun sight and it makes a plain building wall come alive.
