The King is coming to visit

What would Louix XVI make of the news, I wonder?

There is an article in the French newspaper telling  us that King Charles III and the Queen Consort will be visiting France at the end of this month.

Ironically France is a country the royals love and it is a place where his great uncle, the Duke of Windsor and  Wallace Simpson sought refuge after the Duke's abdicaton.

His Mother; our beloved Queen Elizabeth II adored France, she spoke fluent French and it was the first country she visited after she was appointed Queen.

It seems the King is keen to follow in her footsteps as France will be the first official visit by the newly appointed King to a foreign country.

It will be a short visit, Monday the 27th of March - the first day will be spent in Paris and Versailles.

The second and last day, Tuesday 28th  will be spent in Bordeaux.

On Wednesday the 29th, the royal couple leave Bordeaux and head to Berlin.

Long live the king and see you soon ♥
