French Food Friday - Cake Banane Choc du Placard de Christophe Michalak

 


This week's recipe comes from Christophe Michalak who is one of the world's best pastry chefs.

It is a quick and easy recipe as most of the ingredients are those that you would have in the cupboard.

Cake Banane Choc du Placard

Ingredients:

2 bananas

A little butter and sugar

115 g semi-salted butter

150 g brown sugar or muscovado sugar

65 g flour

2 g of baking powder

2 eggs

50 g of milk or dark chocolate, chopped

Preheat the oven to 170 ° C (fan oven).

In a frying pan, cook two bananas cut in half with a little butter and sugar. Place everything in cake tin 18 cm in diameter.

In a bowl, whisk together: the soft semi-salted butter, the brown sugar or muscovado sugar, the flour, baking powder, eggs and chopped chocolate.

Pour the batter over the bananas. Bake for about 40 minutes. Baking is complete when the blade of the knife comes out of the cake dry. Turn out, enjoy lukewarm ... with a little crème fraîche.
