Boutique Update -Florentine Chic

We  have always loved Florentine trays and we  have them scattered around the house. I use a large one for grouping beauty essentials together on and we regularly use others as serving trays.

I love the fact that they come in all shapes and sizes and they have a lovely romantic boho feel about them.

The Florentine style was created in Florence in the 15th century,a style made up  of fine painting, gold gilding, bronze work, and furnishings inlaid with intricate designs.

Other European countries quickly adopted this style as the stylish  and classic Florentine items, were seen as social status symbols.

Florentine style crafts remain collectible today due to the "shabby chic" style of decorating in recent years. Now less "shabby", Florentine furniture is being sought after for use in Retro modern spaces as well as old world interiors.

I have created a board on pinterest where you can find some fabulous florentine items and decorating ideas.

The idea of displaying florentine trays is a fabulous idea and they look lovely grouped together.

Another idea I love is to group them together and stand them in the kitchen or in the dining room, on a sideboard.

We  have listed a couple of large florentine trays in our online boutique this weekend, should you feel like added a touch of Italian Chic to your deco.

I love the fleur de lis detail on this platter, the cream and gold is a classic combination which never dates.

This large green and gold florentine platter is chic and sophisticated and it would make a fabulous drinks tray....

Bon dimanche ♥♥ Leeann x
