Say cheese/dites fromage

a local cheese which is made with a cork in the middle of it

Fromage is one of my favorite French words as it just rolls off the tongue and to me, sounds nicer than its equivalent in English - cheese.

Did you know that there are 1,600 types of cheese in France. The French adore their cheese and this was one of the first items the French stocked up on but supermarkets were quick to restock their shelves and we now have beaucoup de fromage in our local supermarket. Here is a map that shows you some of the main types of cheese made in France.

With so many to choose from it is hard to pick a favourite but if push comes to shove, I would pick chevre, Comté amd roguefort.

What would you pick?
