merci à tous....

Bonjour mes belles,

The last day in 2013, tomorrow we start with a blank page, well almost and what a lovely, liberating feeling that is.

For us it has been a busy year and a year in which we have seen a lot of changes, all of which postive and have opened new doors.

Early in 2013, we converted an old butcher's shop into an antique shop as we thought that this would assist in selling the other house that I own in a nearby village.  No sooner was the paint dry and low and behold a potential buyer arrived and a few months later, made an offer on the shop and chambres d'hotes.

We wish Alex and his family the best of luck and look forward to working together in 2014. Alex has spent considerable time in the luxury hotel business and is also a qualified chef  of fabulous French food and will be offering classes in 2014 which we will be also be offering to guests who stay with us at Maison No.20.

Speaking of Maison No. 20, it was a busy year with a variety of nationalities and plans are underway to offer an increased number of services incluing private, secure parking and a new louis XVI style dining room which I am enjoying sourcing items for.

The new dining room is a result of Fabulously French growing "too big for her shoes" and we are in the process of moving all the stock to our new shop, which is a few minutes walk from Maison No. 20.

It is a lovely light shop and has parking opposite.  As many of you know French Boyfriend is an Antiques dealer and has over 30 years experience and ironically we met in a friend's antique shop.

We are looking forward to working together and at the same time it will allow us to spend time doing the things that we love, for me that is decorating and relooking old items, whereas Guy loves to restore old furniture and old paintings and is hoping to find some time to paint as he is a talented artist having sold over
2,000 paintings, not sure how much time he will have but here's hoping that he has the time to do what he loves best.

I am now off to write some new year's resolutions but wanted to take the time to say merci beaucoup for reading my blog, following me on facebook and pinterest and being clients of  Fabulously French and Maison No. 20.

I hope that you will continue to enjoy reading all about our our new adventures in 2014.

Wishing you all a blessed and wonderful year full of
love, good health, happiness and prosperity.

amicalement, Leeann x
