Joyeuses Pâques/Happy Easter

I was wondering what I could use as an Easter photo when low and behold it was before my very eyes.

This is the Boulangerie that my partner uses as they make very yummy pain aux raisins also referred to as escargots as they look like snails, which he absolutely adores.

They are like a giant pinwheel scone except thay are made of pastry, with a delicious vanilla flavoured créme patisserie and raisin filling.

I should explain that we have 4 boulangeries and as the village is pretty small it just shows you how much the french and the odd kiwi! love their bread and cakes.

I was a muesli girl until I came to live in France, now I am a croissant convert and nothing meets the taste of a croissant still warm and the smell is divine.

This is the table at Maison de Poitiers set up breakfast, complete with basket of pain aux raisins.

All this writing about food is making me hungry, hope that you all have a very happy easter.

  2. 4 boulangeries! It kind of makes me homesick..., not that I'm French. I'm Swiss, but we're pretty awesome with bread and pastries too..., and bakeries. And I have tasted the French Croissant plenty too on holidays in South France..., once spent 3 weeks on the tiny island of Ouessant..., what can I say, Bon Appetit!
